In the first week of December, Donnie goes back to Tokyo to promote Princess Blade (Shurayuki-Hime) which opens on the 15th. He will also be attending a producer's meeting to workout the schedule for next year's project Charlie's Angels in Japan.

Shurayuki-Hime (literally translates into "bloody snow white") is a modern-day film adapted from an old Japanese comic book, starring one of Japan's hottest teen celebrity, Yumiko Shaku, and produced by top Japanese producer, Takeshige Ichise (works include the hit series The Ring, Moonlight Express starring Leslie Cheung and Takako Tokiwa).

China Shoot

In mid-December, Donnie will be in China for the shoot of HERO.( Starring Jet Li, Zhang Zi-Yi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Maggie Cheung (In the Mood for Love), Tony Leung (In the Mood for Love), and Donnie Yen. )

Once again, Donnie Yen and Jet Li goes for the kill in Zhang Yimou's new film, HERO.

Already in the midst of production in China, Donnie will be joining the cast of HERO in mid-December for a Special Guest Appearance. For the first time ever since Once Upon A Time in China II, Donnie Yen and Jet Li will meet again for yet another classic kung-fu showdown on the big screen. It's a performance you won't want to miss! Directed by the acclaimed Chinese director Zhang Yimou (The Road Home, Shanghai Triad, Raise the Red Lantern).

Hollywood studio projects for Donnie

Currently, there are several starring and co-starring Hollywood studio projects in line for Donnie, one of them, a co-starring role with Jackie Chan in Shanghai Knights, the sequel to last year's Shanghai Noon (starring Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Lucy Liu).

Donnie returns to the States for more hit movie projects!

Shurayuki-Hime

Having finished a $65million project with Wesley Snipes (Blade2: Bloodhunt 2002) in Prague recently, Donnie Yen hit the streets of Tokyo immediately after to take over the set of Shurayuki-Hime as the Action Director of the upcoming hit film, due to be released in Japan theaters everywhere during Christmas.

Donnie Yen appears on the Discovery Channel!

On March 30, 8pm (L.A. time) the Discovery Channel will be featuring a special
on martial arts and an exclusive interview with Donnie Yen.


WELCOME ABOARD DONNIE!

The crew of Blade2 gives a warm welcome to Donnie Yen. Donnie has recently signed on as the
martial arts choreographer with a cameo role special for the upcoming film project, Blade2, a New
Line Production starring Wesley Snipes. Production is due to start next month in Czechoslovakia.

DISCOVERY CHANNEL

Discovery Channel will be featuring a show on Martial Arts in the beginning of the upcoming new year. One of the highlights from the show is dedicated to Donnie Yen. In fact, the Discovery crew went to Berlin a few months ago to capture footage of Donnie directing a German TV show, "Puma", as well as cover some of his style-of-directing on location and how he works closely to his team of stuntmen and actors throughout the shoot. The upcoming show on the Discovery Channel will also be including an exclusive interview with Donnie Yen on the topic of martial arts and martial arts films.

Recently, both Harvey and Bob Weinstein have met up with Donnie in New York to appraise his skills and outstanding performance delivered in both Highlander-The Endgame, and, a film they've recently discovered, Iron Monkey‹one of Donnie's highly-acclaimed classics.


TV Drama...

Peter M. Lenkov, writer/producer/director best known for his works on Demolition Man, LaFemme Nikita and Level Nine‹ is currently developing a new TV series project which will star Donnie Yen as a Chinese-American cop who goes back to Hong Kong to solve crime, catch criminals and kick ass!
